Around the Table is a project delivered by Suffolk ArtLink for adult family carers delivered by professional artists and chefs; by exploring food, creativity and culture in monthly workshops, carers are gaining respite from the caring role, developing strengthened support networks and building their confidence in trying new things.
As part of this scheme, I am collaborating with Chef Lola Demille to explore ideas of celebration, and how to make it easier for participants to throw a party when time, resources, or even just the energy are lacking. We’ll be using a joyful collection of spice mixes, Mediterranean-inspired recipes and party tunes to create an ‘Emergency Celebration Kit’ so that the participants can throw a party at a moment’s notice with very little effort.
